Welcome to Cooperstown Soccer Club

Club History

Organized in 1991 and incorporated in 1993, the Cooperstown Soccer Club’s sole purpose is to get area children to play and enjoy the game of soccer. Our emphasis is to promote sportsmanship, fundamental skills, and team play.

Recreational soccer for our local students began in 1977 when sixty youths from Cooperstown signed up to play in the Oneonta Jaycee Soccer Program. As the popularity of the sport grew on both the recreational and scholastic levels, we found that Cooperstown needed and could easily sustain a league of its own. Today, over 500 children from Cooperstown, Edmeston, Cherry Valley, Springfield, and Milford play in leagues sponsored by the CSC. We offer Fall and Spring Recreational Leagues for elementary school age players, competitive Spring Travel Teams for players in U-10 through U-19, and in years past a 7v7 League for middle and high school players.

With the enthusiasm for and participation in soccer in the United States continually growing, the Cooperstown Soccer Club remains committed to providing our children a great soccer experience.
