Spring Rec 2021 ** MUST READ **

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in the Cooperstown Soccer Club (CSC) Recreational Soccer Program. We hope that you and your child will find this a rewarding experience. It is our mission to provide a fun and safe environment for the development of youth soccer players through the use of volunteer coaches and a variety of soccer clinics, training and opportunities. If at any time you have any concerns please feel free to email the club vice president Justin Grant at [email protected] or registrar at [email protected] and be sure to visit our website for more information at www.coopsoccerclub.com.

Information for Spring 2021 Season:
We are awaiting guidance of our spring league. While Cooperstown Soccer Club has established safety rules and have precautions in place, we are unsure if the Clark Sports Center will allow us to use the facility. We have been told to plan as if we were going to host a season so that is what we plan to do.

As always, all youth from any of our neighboring towns are eligible to register.

NEW this year (Sp. 2021) and each season going forward, parents will register and then will receive a link to purchase a jersey. The jersey's will be reversible so be sure to ask your coach before each game which color to wear. The registration fee has been adjusted to allow for the purchase of jersey by the parents. If you choose not to purchase a jersey, your child can wear a t-shirt in the same color as the jersey. The reason for this is to alleviate the over purchasing or under purchasing of jerseys and to ensure those who register on time have their jerseys before the start of each season. In the past late registrations have held up jersey orders, we hope this new process will ease that situation.

COVID Precautions:
  1. Coaches and parents will be required to use the Dicks Sports App and will be required to answer COVID screening questions prior to practice or play of any type.
  2. Those without access will be required to turn in a paper form to the coach before each practice/play.
  3. Child will be temp checked before they can go onto the field, they must have their mask on at all times unless they are on the field during game play.
  4. Masks will be required during practice unless coach instructs otherwise.
  5. Child will be required to use hand sanitizer provided by coach before going onto the field each day.
  6. Coaches will sanitize equipment before and after each practice or game.
  7. Only TWO family members are able to be on the field per child
  8. ALL families must socially distance around the field and may at no time gather with another family.

Teams will be smaller to allow for proper social distancing. Due to the smaller teams we will require more coaches and assistant coaches.
